Australia’s state of Victoria may slash feed-in tariffs (FITs) for small and medium-scale solar PV installations by allowing electricity retailers to effectively set the price paid to households for the solar power they feed back into the electricity grid.
The US Department of Commerce (DOC) would impose anti-dumping tariffs of just over 31% on crystalline silicon PV cells and modules from major Chinese producers, after determining that exporters sold product in the US at “less than fair value”.
Sempra US Gas & Power and BP Wind Energy will jointly develop the 21MW Auwahi Wind farm in southeastern Maui and expect to have the project in commercial operation in the fourth quarter.
